Privacy

What is kept, where, for how long, and who can see it. Plain English; a draft for a private test.

What we keep

• Your email address and a scrambled version of your password (we can't read the password).
• The answers you type: where you feel it, your words for it, anything else you wrote, an easy place, what you'd like more of, and the safety boxes you ticked.
• The phrases picked out of your words, and which ones you chose to keep.
• The recording made for you, and a text copy of what it says.
• Whether you pressed play, how far you got, and your answers to the three check-in questions.

What we don't keep

• No diagnoses, scores or medical history. We never ask "did your pain improve", and we don't store answers to that.
• Nothing from your phone or browser beyond what you type here.

Where it lives

On a server in Sydney, Australia. The recording is made by sending the words of the script — including the words you typed — to a voice service (Fish Audio) that speaks them in Paul's cloned voice. Your email address is not sent there. Sign-up emails are sent through an email service (Brevo).

Who can see it

You, and Paul. Paul can open any tester's answers, recording and check-ins during the test, so that he can improve the recordings and talk with you about how you're using it. No one else.

How long

For the length of the test, then until you ask for it to be deleted. Email Paul and everything under your account is removed.

Safety

A nightly backup copy is kept on the server. Data is encrypted in transit (https). If something goes wrong with the server we'll tell you.

Your words and the law

Because what you type can be about your health, Australian privacy law treats it carefully. It is used only to make your recording and to run the test. It is never used for advertising, never sold, and never quoted publicly.
